House Events

Sports Day 2010
Inglefield House was blessed with another perfect day for their Sports Day - the sun shone but a cool breeze provided a comfortable temperature for the competitors.  The girls threw themselves enthusiastically into a multitude of events - hurdles, sprints, 400metres, 800metres, relays, high jump and a number of other field events, watched and supported by their peers and parents.  As ever competition was fierce, with some extraordinary performances and a number of records broken, one of which had stood for 19 years!   Mather Jackson emerged as the overall winners and proudly received the Athletics Cup.  Pimms and strawberries were on hand, organised by the Friends of HMSG, and the parents enjoyed a high tea at the end of the afternoon.

Year 3 and 4 House Sports
On 25th November , Years 3 and 4 were joined by parents for an enjoyable morning of House Games. All of the spectators were quite shocked by all the noise which echoed around the hall as team-mates shouted encouragement. One girl had a special technique in the Hoop race. She put the hoop on her head and put it over her hair bobble so it would stay on! The final results were announced as Imbert Terry 4th place, Prossers 3rd, Bagnall Oakeley 2nd and Mather Jackson were 1st. (by Katherine and Mellissa, Yr4)
