Head of Inglefield House

Sue Riley moved with her family from Oxford on becoming Head of Inglefield House in September 2010.   During ten years at the Dragon School, she worked in various roles, including Housemistress of the junior girls’ boarding house, pastoral Head of Year and in her final two years, as Head of Upper School.   A geographer by training, Sue began her teaching career at Sevenoaks School.  She then taught at The Banda School, Nairobi, where she later became Head of Geography.   This broad experience has been invaluable in understanding what makes a successful school tick.

In her role as part of the Senior Management Team of HMSG, Sue maintains strong ties with the senior school and works closely with Mrs Davy to ensure a smooth transition for the girls into the senior school.

Sue has also forged links with Mrs Elaine Thomas, Head of the Grange, and together, through their membership of IAPS, they are committed to excellence within their schools.
