Summer 2017 Week 8: 23/6/2017

Summer Term – Week 8

It was a huge effort on behalf of so many and in the heat we wondered if we would survive, but now that The Archives is over I think everyone is rather sad. What an amazing show! Thank you all for your lovely feedback. I have passed this on to the pupils and staff and it makes the girls so pleased to hear how much their effort has been appreciated. I would like once again to thank all those who helped in any way with costumes, sewing, rehearsals, refreshments, music and choirs, weekly dance clubs and backstage; everything came together beautifully!

Take care as you come into reception in IH as our lovely snow dog has arrived! We are fund raising this week for Tŷ Hafan who are preparing a trail of snow dogs around Cardiff. Learners all over Wales are decorating their snow pups which will be part of the trail made up of 1.5m tall snow dogs designed by a series of artists. Our snow pup will be decorated in the Inglefield House colours and girls can buy a square for £1 to decorate in any way they chose, providing it sticks to the colour scheme. For each square they buy, they will receive a raffle ticket to go into the draw for a seat on the minibus which will go to Cardiff to follow the trail. The squares will be stuck onto the pup, varnished and we will be able to hunt our pup! I was thinking we could call the pup “Dora” after the main character in The Archives, or perhaps “Gilbert” after Sir Gilbert Inglefield. What do you think? Bring in your money, girls and start decorating straightaway!
